Majical Cloudz weave a tragic, beautifully melancholy tale of lost innocence on "Childhood's End." Unfortunately for our narrator, things look bleak from the very start; "Someone died. Their brilliant live show was intense with Devon Welsh's piercing gaze and da. I'm a latecomer to Majical Cloudz. Clarke books, I am seeing a common theme. Vocals, many times, are like those unsightly blemishes that seem to pop out at the most inopportune moments. He's just signed a deal with Matador who'll be releasing his album, 'Impersonator', on May 27th. This is especially evident by the melancholy first single “Childhood's End,” which just got a video today. Majical Cloudz were one of my main highlights from SXSW (see my top 20). From my vast expertise of having read all of two, count them, two, Arthur C. Save for their elusive contribution to Grimes' debut LP, I hadn't heard anything from the Montreal duo before walking into the M for Montreal SXSW showcase a few weeks ago.
